Welcome to Charter for Compassion Pakistan! For us compassion is not just a feeling or a principle; but the beating heart of everything we do. We are involved in education, vocational training, mental health, women's empowerment & community sports. Through our various communal interventions, we're weaving compassion into the very fabric of our society.
We're on a journey to make compassion a cornerstone of Pakistani society. Our programs aim to inspire individuals, communities, and institutions to embrace compassion as a guiding principle. Tackling systemic barriers and societal challenges head-on, we foster empathy, kindness, and understanding. We aim to embed compassion in the social culture of the country for it to become second nature and a driving force behind decisions, policies and social interactions for our collective well-being.
Our dream is to transform Pakistan into a compassionate society, where compassion is woven into every aspect of our lives. For the well-being and happiness of every individual. Through our various programs touching upon education, mental health, community sports, and women’s empowerment, we aspire to cultivate compassionate mindsets and actions within homes, workplaces, and communities across Pakistan.
Crafted by a diverse council of thinkers and leaders from around the world. The charter is a collaborative effort to revive the spirit of compassion. Rooted in diverse religious, ethical, and spiritual traditions, our mission is to bring compassionate thinking and, more importantly, compassionate action back to the forefront of our lives.
The Charter brings together the voices from all cultures and spiritual/faith communities to remind the world that we all share the core principle of compassion. The Charter proclaims a principle embraced by every faith and by every moral code, religious or otherwise. It is often referred to as the golden rule, which requires that we use empathy -- moral imagination -- to put ourselves in others' shoes. We should act toward them as we would want them to act toward us. We should refuse, under any circumstance, to carry out actions which would cause them harm.
