FAQs

Answer

Charter for Compassion Pakistan is involved in a number of initiatives in Education, Healthcare and other areas. Volunteers are the essential part of realizing benefits and goals not only in ongoing projects but also in need analysis and administration work. We want to recruit volunteers that are young as well as professionals with experience valuable to the community. CfC Pakistan follows a guideline to match volunteers with the project that is the best match for both the community as well as volunteer fulfillment.

Answer

You can go to the website and fill in an application or set up an appointment with us @ volunteers@charterforcompassion.org.pk. As such, there is no timing for applying for volunteering. CfC Pakistan keeps a volunteer application and availability in the database and can invite persons on assignments using that.

Answer

Skills, Languages, Education, Experience, motivation to contribute all are valuable qualifications. There are many and varied opportunities available in CfC Pakistan and each year we are growing and scaling up. At the time of application, we do require volunteers to highlight their skills and experience; however, this is not a limiting factor. We believe everyone with the right attitude can contribute to a community cause

Answer

Unfortunately, volunteering is unpaid work. However, we are planning to introduce a ‘volunteer sponsorship’ program where a stipend can be assigned to the volunteers. More updates will be available on the web site when this program is active. Having said that, volunteering is itself a very self-fulfilling endeavor with multiple secondary benefits.

Answer

CfC Pakistan takes volunteer safety very seriously. Volunteers are assigned a coordinator with whom they can be in continuous communication. In addition, there are many other considerations during the application, screening and selection process for ensuring the safety of the volunteers. Orientation is also provided to volunteers to highlight the code of conduct and dos and don’ts during their assignment.

Answer

A consent form is required for students from their institute or their parents. For institutions assigning their professional works, a consent form is required. Consent form serves the purpose of disclosure with the guardian and also acknowledges the volunteer's time spent on a worthy cause.

Answer

CfC Pakistan assigns a coordinator for each volunteer. When assigned to the project, the Project Manager will be the reporting line for the volunteers. The exact reporting line will depend on the assignment and work which will be made clear during orientation.
